While on the road if you are planning to hire a campervan, local information centres are a wealth of information.  You’ll find these are very well marked from the main roads, and many towns have one.  You can spot them with their yellow ‘i’ and a blue background.

These are staffed by locals, who know the area and can give you a few inside tips to make sure you enjoy your visit to the region when you hire a campervan.  You’ll be able to pick up information on local camping grounds, and often they’ll let you know if there is any free camping in the area, or the location of the nearest dump station (where you empty your toilet waste).
