3 tips to save money this Christmas with motorhome hire

The festive season is just around the corner and if there is one thing that the past few years have taught us, it’s spending time with family and friends is important.  That is probably why motorhome hire Christmas holidays has become very popular over recent years.

1. Pick your dates and book early

But what is new, is the amazing deals we are seeing, even over peak holiday periods such as Christmas and school holidays.  We have seen some great offers such as getting up to 15% off deals as well as no one way fees too!

We usually see the best motorhome bookings are made early – however its never too late, so take the opportunity and see what’s available. Once the booking is confirmed, the rate is locked saving you money than if you booked the motorhome close to your travel dates.

If you are not tied to having your holidays over the two weeks that encompass Christmas and the New Year, but you’re still looking for a summer road trip, there are still some excellent savings to be had.  Head off a bit earlier in December or even if it suits to go in February. Make your way to the communal area and chat with fellow travellers to really absorb the shared Christmas spirit.  You’ll find plenty of other families like yourselves out on the road this Christmas holiday.  We would suggest, if you know where you are going, particularly if coastal areas, to book ahead over the Christmas holidays to avoid disappointment.  If you are trying to save a few dollars and are finding the coastal caravan parks are packed, then consider a town slightly inland, which may provide a more relaxed atmosphere.  You can still make day trips to the beach.

3. Shop local and simply enjoy time with your family

There’s no need for expensive meals out when you’re travelling in the motorhome.  Support local and purchase along the way. You’ll be amazed at the gourmet feasts you can create in your motorhome hire kitchen, or better yet, on the campfire.  Most caravan parks you’ll stay at along the way in your motorhome hire have gas BBQ’s too…such an easy way to cook up a feast and get everyone involved.

Staying in the motorhome means that you can catch up on some much needed family bonding. Pull out your camp table and chairs and enjoy Christmas lunch with each other.
