Grab a coffee, settle in and watch the highlights of the escorted motorhome tour from Adelaide to Darwin in May 2019:

Many great memories were made as they travelled in their motorhome from Adelaide through the world renowned wine region of the Barossa to Clare Valley, sampling some local produce and the local wines. Coober Pedy, was a highlight for many on the escorted motorhome tour. Here they had a fabulous time in this quirky town, known for its underground houses and opal mines. What a spectacular view they had watching the sunset over the picturesque Breakaways.

Continuing up the Stuart Highway, the group enjoyed the changing colours of the sun setting over Uluru.  They loved their time exploring this amazing location.  The Field of Lights made an impression too.   The group enjoyed stretching their legs around Uluru and nearby Kata Tjuta offered more opportunities for exploring the stunning rock formations.

On the Adelaide to Darwin escorted motorhome tour, we also include the opportunity to learn more about the local Aboriginal culture at the Karrke Cultural Tour, near Kings Canyon.  The following morning was more exploring with the Kings Canyon rim walk – this was certainly worth the early start and energy for the spectacular views.

Alice Springs was another favourite, as the group discovered more about the School of the Air and the Royal Flying Doctors service. The Alice Springs Desert Park gave the opportunity to learn more about the desert flora and fauna. The nearby MacDonnell Ranges was another opportunity for those on the motorhome tour to explore with a range of short walks and discover the gaps, gorges and canyons. Standley Chasm is always spectacular in the Western MacDonnell Ranges. Others loved locations, such as the Glen Helen Gorge and Simpsons Gap, also nestle in the MacDonnell Ranges.  Over on the eastern side of the MacDonnell Ranges, the Trephina Gorge is a favourite, along with Emily and Jessie Gap.

Continuing further north, the Devils Marbles were impressive as was the night at the iconic pub, Daly Waters.  The group enjoyed a Beef ‘n Barra dinner with entertainment at this quirky pub.

Soaking in the thermal springs at Mataranka and floating down Bitter Springs certainly was a highlight for many.  The tropical and lush surroundings were very picturesque.

Exploring the dramatic cliffs running straight down into the depths of the Katherine River was worth an early start on the dawn cruise – even a chance to see a fresh water croc!

World heritage listed Kakadu National Park certainly impressed those on the escorted motorhome tour from Adelaide to Darwin.   Yellow Water Billabong, once again provided an amazing opportunity to see salt water crocodiles and a variety of birdlife.  The scenery is simply breathtaking on this cruise.  It was fascinating to learn more about the amazing rock art and the ancient Aboriginal Culture.  The cultural centres provided great insight as did locations such as Nourlangie and Ubirr.  Although these areas have an important culture significance, the are absolutely spectacular too.  Taking a walk up to Nadab Lookout for the amazing views over the floodplains certainly left a lasting impression.

Not too far from Darwin, the Litchfield National Park also proved to be another highlight.  The opportunity to swim at the bottom of waterfalls and relaxing in the bubbly waters of Buley Rockhole certainly create lasting memories.
